Sunrise in Christchurch:
Sunrise in Bursa, Turkey:
Two sunsets taken from my front door steps:
and a strange sunset effect taken from the same place a couple of weeks ago:
Remember this?
“There's a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they're absolutely free. Don't miss so many of them.”
― Jo Walton
I do remember Fiddler on the Roof. And could probably still sing much of it (but won't, since I am decidedly not a singer). I love your sunrises and sunsets and am still fascinated by the beam me up Scottie one.
ReplyDeleteI would so like to be able to sing!
DeleteThank you - yes, the beam of light still intrigues me too :)
Those are great shots! You have a really good wide open space by your front door! And yes, I remember Fiddler on the Roof!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gilly - yes, I love not having other houses too close.
DeleteGreat photos! It is sunrises and sunsets are beautiful no matter where they are and unusual ones can be anywhere! Fiddler on the Roof, what a wonderful story and this song, so appropriate. Thank you for the chance to listen to it!
ReplyDeleteBienvenue, Michèle - and thank you!
DeleteGorgeous shots from your doorstep.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bob. No boats, though :(
DeleteHaha yes, the Fiddler.
ReplyDeleteThose are great shots...I haven't been able to get any good ones at my present location, that's why I used a flower instead.

Oh but it was lovely - and "floral sunrise" was the perfect caption!
DeleteI've never in my life been able to take a decent sunrise/set photo. These are very nice. The top one is especially good.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa. I can't do decent moon shots, much to my disappointment!
DeleteALL of these are brilliant - can't single out a favourite!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks Kath :)
DeleteThat photo with the beam of light is spectacular! New follower and fellow kiwi :)
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy! Thanks for dropping by. I visited your blog today - I'm going to follow you too :)
DeleteGorgeous images, and I love Jo Walton's gentle nudge about not missing to watch the sunset!
ReplyDeleteI love the prospect of stepping outside time and again and never seeing the same thing. You've reinforced why none of this will ever get old - for the shooter as well as the viewer.
