Thematic Photographic 167: Edible

Everybody's posts are so interesting and enticing this week at Carmi's Written Inc  
around the theme of Edible. Some of them made me really hungry, so I had to go 
and make myself an early lunch.
Here it is: cream cheese and pastrami on a ciabatta bun, with tomatoes, leftover-from-last-night asparagus, and a few Kalamata olives.
And yes, it tasted good!

  3. Ah did you make a couple more plates for us too! Your presentation is making me feel the need to create something I really don't need....but this looks so yummy! Did you take a photo of a leaf yet for Carmi's Before The Fall post (from Sunday) I almost missed it, but I saw it on Chrissy's blog....we have to keep it in a book and he'll tell us more later!   6. So beautifully presented. The tomatoes and olives would be my choice. I love asparagus but we tend to only see it in jars here in Lanzarote:(

  9. Your picture reminded me of the Microsoft logo, only theirs is red, green, yellow, blue (clockwise).

    It reminded me that I forgot to order my side of asparagus the last time we went to the Salt Grass restaurant in Amarillo. Their asparagus is usually pretty good.

  11. Thanks everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed the shot - I had fun arranging it but I really don't think it's cookbook standard, Writer :)

    It did really taste good - I could live on asparagus if I had to ... I look forward to the season every spring, as I don't buy the imported stuff that's available the rest of the year.

  14. Ah man, that looks great! Jilda and I are in Cary, N.C. this weekend.
    She's in a yoga class until 9 tonight. We don't like eating heavy stuff late so I stopped by Whole Foods and picked up some hummus, pita chips, a small block of cheddar cheese and some fancy-smancy crackers.
    We'll have that with a taste of wine.

  16. Wow, talk about a perfectly laid out slice of still life! I can't stop looking at this plate, and wish every meal I had looked this good. Paperback Writer is absolutely right: This belongs in a cookbook.
