Sunday Snapshot

Lake Dunstan, Central Otago. April 2012.

I caught this glimpse into a couple's life together - she fishes,
he sits reading, or thinking...

"I hold this to be the highest task for a bond between two people:
that each protects the solitude of the other."
~ Rainer Maria Rilke

  5. Beautiful!
As soon as I can 1) get well, 2) find the time, 3) organize everything, I am SO coming to New Zealand!

  7. Beautiful picture and a great quote. This post made me smile. If it were my husband and myself, he would be fishing and I would have my nose in the book. :)

  8. What a stunning moment, perfectly captured in an image and in words. If only more of us "got" this in the context of our own relationships.
