The Natural World

This is a post for Thematic Photographic, hosted by Carmi levy.

I've always been fascinated by rocks. Should have done a geology degree, not English.
Nah, just joking.

Rocks at Moeraki:

Late afternoon in autumn - Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown:

More rocks, Haast Pass:

After the storm, Waihi Beach:

"Keep close to Nature's heart ... and break clear away,
once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods.
Wash your spirit clean."

  9. Those formations are otherworldly. I'm with The Elephant's Child - I thought it was a fossilized turtle. Incredible choices for the theme, and as usual wonderfully captured.

  12. Thank you all for your kind comments.
I've been sick for a week or so - infected sinuses, yada yada - the fact that nice people visit and take the trouble to comment is therapeutic!
