Early signs of spring...?

Our 3-year-old magnolia is covered with blooms this year.
Sadly we have had several storms recently
which have left it rather battered.

At least Manu is enjoying the sunshine, after a long walk at the beach:

  1. I envy you the magnolia. I love them, and have tried several times, but the sulphur crested vandals destroy them and I will not plant more for them.
There are definitely signs of spring here, after a much milder than usual winter (no frozen bubble possibilities).
I do hope it doesn't augure a long hot summer.
And hooray for a totally 'laxed Manu.

    1. We have had only 2 very light frosts, but a great deal of rain in recent weeks. Manu is nearly 15!

    2. Nearly fifteen is impressive - and he totally deserves that rest and relaxation after your walk. Jazz is probably a similar vintage and crashes out after much less activity.

    1. Thank you, Strayer. I do wish the flowers were not out at the same time as winter storms are about!

  4. I hope you are doing well, and staying safe in this strange time of COVID-19. Stay safe. Manu is just adorable too!

  5. Thank you, Karen! I hope that your part of the sadly besieged USA is mostly free of COVID, and that you and your family are all well.
Manu is 15 now, and spends a lot of time sleeping. His hearing seems to have gone completely, and he can't see much at all - but he still loves his walks and has a very healthy appetite!
Best wishes to you for the festive season.
