Places I Love: Melbourne

Today I've been playing around in Photoshop, making collages and stuff.

Melbourne is my favourite of the Australian cities I've been to.

Right now, it has the Australian Open (tennis is the only sport I like to watch)
- and blistering heat.

All year round, it has the Yarra River, beautiful buildings, fantastic shops, wonderful food
- and a sense of humour!

  1. And it doesn't take itself anything like as seriously as Siddeny does. Which gives it bonus points.

    1. Quite right! I haven't been to Sydney for years - and quite frankly, I don't want to go there...

    1. Yes, Max - it's a cow. I took about 20 photos, because it looked so funny!

i was wondering what that was in the tree...until i read the comment & your reply.
A COW!! hmmmm, why a cow in a tree? 'Art'?

so, what's up with Sydney? "the wrath of the Sydnerians"? they are too serious?! in other words...you would never find a cow on it's back, in a tree...in Sydney??! :)

anyway...Melbourne looks like a lovely place to visit.

    2. Thanks, Laura - they are usually known by their English name, which is "morepork", because that's what they seem to be calling when you hear them at night. :)

Sydney is brash, exciting, "trendy", colourful - and certainly interesting! Melbourne is a much nicer place, I think.

  5. Playing around? This is incredible, and each one is totally where I'd like to see first hand for myself. Especially, what in the world is hanging inside that tree? I have to zoom in! Speaking of interesting places, I am leaving a link for you of something I know you'll appreciate as much as I do, and you may have been there first hand yourself. Or you might want to journey there. I wish it was close to me, I'd be on way right now. http://joceesfarm.blogspot.com/2015/01/la-bull.html?showComment=1422546983687#c7034263909505781100
