A Stranger...

Some stranger photos for Carmi's Thematic Photographic 261
(hastily, in the middle of marking exams...)

It's me (It is I) who is the stranger in their midst, now I come to think of it :)

  2. Ahh, fishing with dad and the family...

Those are some of my fondest childhood memories, Alexia.

    1. It's not a tradition in our family - except that my son loves diving and underwater fishing.

  3. Oh my what a lovely place you live in! Your stranger photos are exquisite and should be featured in a travel brochure! Each one so delightful in picturing life and how folks enjoy it!

    1. It is lovely, but it also has less beautiful parts, Karen - as do we all, I guess! :)

  4. Cool pictures. I really like the one of the man and the boy fishing off the pier.

    1. Thanks. I love the way the boy is sitting calmly on the chilly bin. (I wonder what those are called in the USA? In Australia they are called Eskies)

  6. I have a friend who left England recently to live in Tauranga. Great pictures. Fishing looks so relaxed in such beautiful places.

    1. I hope he enjoys living there, Bob. It is the nearest city to us and I go there quite often - probably once every 2 or 3 weeks on average. If I had to live in a city, it would be my second choice. It's small, but has a lovely setting.

  7. Funny that you mention it: WHO, precisely, is the stranger? Us or them?

Amazing question. I don't have the answer, but thanks to you my head is spinning.

Lake Wanaka: could the colors be any more stunning? Wow! Lucky ducks indeed.
