Sunday Snapshot

Last night we had a beautiful sunset.
There was an odd moment at the end of it, when a column of light shone upwards.
This shot doesn't do justice to what was an amazing sight.

  1. Very pretty!

Maybe there's a pot of gold over there?

    1. Hmmm - seeing we are officially having a drought, I don't think it was a rainbow. Pots of gold are hard to come by, I find :)

  2. Wow, what an amazing spot, and such silent beauty before our eyes too!

    1. Yes - it was quite eerie, Karen. No wind - I like your "silent beauty" :)

    1. By the time I ran for my camera, it had lost some brilliance - but you're right, it was amazing!

  4. It looks like a searchlight, doesn't it?
That's still a better shot than I could get. Max is the one who gets the awesome sunset shots.

    1. I can't disagree with that, Lee. I wish I had the camera skills to do justice to it.

    1. Good suggestion - that's what it looked like - a conduit to.... somewhere?

    1. Thanks - and now it's actually raining. Maybe it was a harbinger?

    1. Thanks Kath. The colours were brighter, more intense than they appear in the photo.
