Saturday morning.
No school.
I walk down to the gate to get the newspaper,
which, as it is the weekend edition with about thirty sections, is folded in half in the box.
As I walk back up the drive I open it up, and find:
What made the surprise even nicer was how carefully the little bunch was arranged - they weren't just stuck in any which way, but painstakingly arranged so that they formed a little posy:
As far as I am aware, I don't know the person who delivers our paper,
but he/she certainly put a smile on my face this morning!
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

How lovely! What a wonderful surprise and wonderful start to your day!
ReplyDeleteI collected my Saturday paper from my driveway, too, but there were no surprises awaiting me when I opened it up! I'll have to have a word with Gavin, my paper man! ;)
I hope your day continues along that happy vein, Alexia. :)
Thank you Lee :) It hasn't been too bad a day at all. I hope you had a lovely Saturday too!
DeleteHow simply lovely. Random acts of kindness are brilliant - to make and to receive. What a wonderful start to your weekend. I hope the rest follows suit.
ReplyDeleteNice surprise!
ReplyDeleteI used to deliver the paper. My main trick was putting inside people's screen doors, so it wouldn't get wet or anything. Boy, were all those people in for a shock when my route was passed on to my younger brother...

Well, isn't that sweet? What a nice little thing to do. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks people. Moving day coming up!!
