TP 211: Weathered and Worn

This week's theme sent my thoughts straight to ancient ruins, which always make me feel calm and happy. But there's lots of other things which are weathered and worn, and I've already posted a lot of photos of ruins in the past, so I've limited myself to one shot, at Delphi:



This old house made me stop the car on a recent road trip:



On a cold autumn day at Moeraki Beach I found lots of interesting 
shapes and colours:




Finally, a shot from a few years ago at Kerikeri; the evening light is kind to The Old Stone Store, 
the oldest stone building in this country:


(I guess I can include the farmhouse in my header, too)

    Very nice pictures, Alexia. The ruined house is quite arresting.
    The Delphi shot is according to the Prophesy, of course.

    I really like how time is good to some, but not to all. That it doesn't take much - attention here, neglect there - to separate those places the nature eventually reclaims, and those that seem to defy the changing world. I loved this journey!

      Those beach rocks are really cool. They are septarian concretions, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moeraki_Boulders

    The second shot on the beach could almost be a turtle's shell. Great Delphi and the house you stopped for.

    Great collection of shots and all very appropriate to the theme. Love the objects on the beach but not sure I can identify what they were especially the one that looks like a turtle shell?
