dreaming of open seas
The sand and the tracks are great! And I love that tree against the sky.
Thanks Gilly! I love the patterns of the branches.
GREAT abstracts Alexia!! the barbed wire against the softness of the sky & clouds!! wow!and the designs in the sand! another wow!! :)
Thanks for the encouragement, Laura!
I like the trees and ferns. And you've given me a potential idea...there's some long vines hanging from the trees around here. Maybe I could work something with them...~
Thanks thunder. I'm looking forward to potential vine shots... with orbs?
The barbed wire and the tree branches, both against the sky are true abstracts for me.
Thank you Bob. I've posted the wire before - I really like it :)
Excellent choices! I especially like the first one.
me too - I can almost feel the texture of it under my toes. I wish it was summer!
Come on over and visit Utah. We've got more heat than we need here.
I love the barbed wire and tire tracks.
Thanks Max. Should've guessed you'd like the tracks ;)
I was trying to think if I have something abstract at home, and I came to your post. Love it! You have inspired me! your barbed wire and tire tracks remind me of an Escher poster hanging in one of my kids rooms :)
Hi Lailani - thank you for visiting. I love Escher; I'm looking forward to seeing your post.
Love the sand dunes!... btw u asked about mine... rain on a table top is the key... also shooting from an angle helps... natural light is the key.. i never use flash.
Thanks Chrissy. I guess you use a macro lens, too? I want one of those...
wonderful pics! :)
Thank you, Tina. and welcome - I'm glad you stopped by :)
Beautiful photos Alexia. We must visit your part of the world sometime.
Come on down! Judging by your obvious appreciation of the natural world, you'd love it :)
Oh I could really enjoy that sand! Something I thought I'd see more of this last week, instead of rain and more rain! All of your photos pop out, especially the blue skies...something I really miss!
Very nice and pretty theme pictures, Alexia. I can 'feel' summer in the air from them. My favorite is the sand with tracks and water pools. It reminded me of White Sands National Park in our New Mexico. BTW, it is winter now in N.Z. isn't it? Visiting your land is on our bucket list but seems we just don't get moving that way. Soon, though, I hope...
Thanks for visiting, Jim! It sure is winter, and really cold. You're welcome to visit anytime; February is usually the best time :D
It's great when you leave a note!
