Some more shots which fit the rough theme at Thematic Photographic. I took these late this afternoon while walking the dog in the area of native bush up at school; they're a few of the things I saw looking down at the forest floor:
I downloaded a new app on my iPad called boxee and one of the featured videos was time lapse video of the arctic light. It was stunning. Here is the youtube link. http://youtu.be/Mmwv94WKmnI
Thanks. But I still think it looks like some alien goo coming up out of the ground. (Actually, now that you told me, I can see it's a root, but I still like my alien goo theory.)
I love the way you got down close and personal with those tyre tracks: they look great!
ReplyDeleteLove the texture, patterns and colors of the first 3... the second to last is questionable...lol
ReplyDeleteThe tyre tracks look like a crime scene photograph.
ReplyDeleteI could almost smell the earthy, ferny smells of the forest floor, but the tyre tracks in mud are great, such lovely patterns.
ReplyDeleteJust the sound of the forest floor brings me right there...awesome rough and rugged photos!
ReplyDelete((crunch crunch)) those are great rough-stuff photos!!
ReplyDelete(at first glance i thought the root was...uh...scat. i would think that, eh?!)
I really like that last one, of the tire treads, although the one right above it has a big green blob that I'm wondering about. What is that?

I love your site.
Rick
I'm glad you all liked the tyre tracks!
ReplyDeleteas for the "questionable" shot 5 - I never thought of that!!! It's just part of a tree root which has 'surfaced'
:)
Rick - thank you for the link; it was lovely.
I really enjoy visiting your blog, too! You always write such interesting posts.
