"In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;"
~ Christina Rossetti

  1. no - you're right! don't have any bleak ones :)

  2. Two days till the longest day in this hemisphere! Still waiting for the warm summer weather!

  3. Stunning, and enjoy the brief spec of a person walking in the distance..from my side of the world I offer Emily Dickinson's words...To see the summer sky, Is poetry, though never in a book it lie- true poems flee.....

  4. lovely quote Karen!

Surely it's warming up now, Galen???

  5. Beautiful picture.
Today is the longest day of the year here in Alabama. It was in the high 90's but then the long awaited rain came and gave our thirsty plants a drink.

  6. such an awesome picture...and although to doesn't seem bleak at all...the quote fits perfectly! very nice!

It's great when you leave a note!
