It's the 3rd of September - the third day of spring. Hoorah!
Last spring my newly planted magnolia tree had but one bloom on it - and that was quickly destroyed by strong winds.
This year, there are nine. Here are two of them, plus a guest appearance from Sammy:
I know this is a happy time for you, (me as well when it's our turn) the days are getting shorter here (and it's so sad to say good-bye summer until next year) but that's the circle of life right! Lovely photos Alexia, I can almost smell them.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen. What's sad is that all too soon it will be our turn for shorter days - the seasons just seem to whirl past!
DeleteSo beautiful! Almost fall here.
ReplyDeleteThank you Strayer. Fall is very beautiful too, but tinged with sadness I think.
DeleteCongrats on your tree! Leaves are starting to fall, here.
ReplyDeleteHi Sammy!

Hi back from Sammy!
DeleteLove, love, love your magnolia. I have given up on them. The cockatoos shred them.
ReplyDeleteSammy is special too.
I'm very happy with the colour of the magnolia. It's supposed to be a smaller-growing tree - we shall see... Sammy knows she's special, believe me!
DeleteI am pleased to say that fall is here. We had an excruciating summer and just need to her cool for a while.
ReplyDeleteI've just read your eggs in Scotland post - sounds like you cooled off there!
DeleteMay we display your header on our new site directory? As it is now, the site title (linked back to your home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention. In any event, we hope you will come by and see what is going on at SiteHoundSniffs.com.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you. Hoping you and yours are safe.
