Winter. It's Temporary.

It's nearing the end of July.

Then, there will only be one more month of winter!

On Carmi's Written.Inc this week, we're posting photos for the "Temporary" theme.

  1. While you are right, I take consolation from the fact that searing summer is ALSO temporary.
Gorgeous photos. I love the pared back elegance of trees without their leaves - and those crisp blue skies.

    1. Yes! I hadn't realised how many photos of bare trees I have until I went looking through my folders. I love seeing their skeletal forms.

  2. Sensational views again! Of course for me this is more like our spring. Which is another too short lived season in my eyes. After just viewing your dirty post too, it speaks volumes of how lovely it is all across New Zealand!

    1. Thanks, Karen. I may have to do an ugly post one day - next week's theme, maybe?

  3. Encouraging photos even in winter when there are blue skies above.

    1. I have to admit they haven't been like that every day, Bob.

  4. It's always funny seeing your posts like this: You're winter is almost over, and I'm regretting that I have only one more month of summer! It gives me a good global view, and I love your pictures. Someday, I hope to make it down there to see your country for myself.

    1. I hope you will, Max. Come in (our) summer, though!

  5. I'm sitting here sweltering in the heat and humidity that is Columbus, Ohio in July...and dreaming of a cool, crisp Autumn.

    Love your pictures, Alexia.

    1. Thanks. One of the things I love about our summers is that they are mostly dry rather than humid.

    1. I'm thinking about which is better - sweating or freezing? No contest for me - I'd rather be hot.

  7. A gorgeous blue sky - trees outlined against it and what looks like a good walking place! Really lovely, and thanks for showing us. Your Spring is not far away now!
