At this time of year, I go for my daily walk very early in the morning, usually at about 5.30 a.m., as it is far too hot later in the day. I am not going to walk anywhere when it's 32 degrees Centigrade, which is what is forecast for later today!
This morning I detoured to see if the cactus I have seen on other summer mornings is still alive, and still flowering during the night...
As you can see, it is flowering beautifully. The sun is not properly up yet, and the delicate pink tips of the petals are still clearly visible...
