The Discerning Viewer

Sammycat often watches the television screen attentively.

Here, she is taking in a David Attenborough classic on birds.

Apologies for the colour quality - these are taken at night, on my phone.
I've tried to improve them in Photoshop, without much success (our walls are actually almost white, and the carpet is silvery grey!)

And here's one of my grandchildren, just because.

  1. I can remember some years ago there was a news story about a mouse plague, complete with sound. Both our cat at the time were beside themselves looking behind and under the television.
Sammy looks an absolute charmer - and I love the shot of your grand child (and friend) paddling.

    1. They're both my grandkids, EC. And Sammy has even charmed Mr A, which takes some doing, believe me! Just wish she'd learn to use the cat door.

  2. Those pics of Sammy are amazing. Camera phone or no, her fascination comes through clearly!

And what could be finer than a day at the beach with your grandchildren?

    1. Days like that are very special, thunder. It was actually at a river, not the beach - they had lots of fun.

  3. Lovely photos, look good to me. I had a cat who loved to watch television no matter what was on.

    1. Thanks strayer. I've heard of cats watching tv but none of our previous ones have done so.
