A dog's life

After a slow start, we are having a lovely hot summer.

The best time of day to go for a walk is early in the morning:

Manu. Low tide at the estuary.

Another morning, early in January, when we were getting
a flick from the tail of a tropical cyclone.

It was fine and warm at the beach, but the sky looked angry:

The wind was getting up a little (click to see the flying ears):

  1. How I love the early morning. It is way tooooo long since I experienced it near the sea though.
The flying ears are a gem...
Enjoy your heat (and keep it).

    1. It's my favourite time of day, no contest. I don't think our heat is as hot as your heat, EC!

  2. Lovely beach photos, dramatic lighting. Dogs on the beach, how much they love it.

    1. The light was very strange that day! Luckily the tail of the cyclone went past with no problems for us...

    1. I have to live near the ocean, John - I couldn't bear not to have my walks on the beach.

  4. Always a delight to see Manu!

P.S. I, like John, miss the beaches. I remember low tide is not a great time for swimming. But it is pretty great for seeing the various seacritters that live near the edge of the ocean.

    1. See my reply to John, thunder ^^ - on this occasion there were not even many of the usual birds around - critters always know when there's a storm around, don't they.
