  4. Funny, but as a parent and now a grandparent, lately the very last photo comes to mind! My children have had some pretty awesome teachers, and my grandson's first preschool teacher, last year, rocked my world! Those that inspire me as well as the student are excellent teachers! As I'm betting you are too!

  6. What's funny too, is that even though they think we have it so easy (9 months of work, weekends and all holidays off7 hour days), ask them if they ever wanted to be a teacher and they'd say "No Way".

    1. Yes that's true!
Both of my kids, having watched what our "easy" jobs were/are like, swore that they would never be teachers, went and did other degrees, and are both now... teachers!!

    2. Congratulations, somewhere down the line you must have got across to them the amazing, intangible benefits that make all the hard work worthwhile.

  7. ha! the many faces...of the teacher!?? (i used to want to be a teacher. in fact, i used to 'play' teacher with a few of the willing neighborhood kids when i was just a little one myself!)
anyway...yay! for teachers!! they do an awesome job...well, not ALL of them i guess...it's a tough job...and like any job...if you like, or love...what u do...then chances are, you're good at it...& will make a difference in the lives of those u teach!!
((i think...when i first 'found' your blog...you were doing 'online' assignments for your kids?? or maybe i'm remembering someone else?! either way...keep up the great work!!)) =)

    2. Thanks laura! Sadly, I developed a heavy cold on the last day of school, and have spent the first 2 precious days of the holidays feeling miserable :( grrrr.
