Sunday Snapshots

This is what we saw on our walk today.
We've had a lot of rain lately; as we walked along the riverbank, we came across several sights like this:

But at the lake in the park, all was calm, and the usual old men were sailing their toy yachts:

Still only a hint of spring green on those willows, although up close, I did see the occasional
breaking bud. And that is blossom on the dark pink tree.
The ducks were too busy chasing each other to bother about eating the stale bread I threw for them.

Have a lovely Sunday, everyone!

  1. Na ja, im Regen macht es nicht viel Freude, dennoch ein schöner Beitrag...

    1. Welcome, Cloudy :)
Thank you; too much rain is certainly not good...

  2. Thia ia a truly beautiful post. I was mourning for the upended trees, and then calmed by the serenity of the lake. Thank you.

  3. I sense we can both be happy about the changing seasons. You're approaching spring, and I'm approaching autumn -- favorites for both of us. :)

  4. I take it they're toy yachts...or very small people.

  5. if you hadn't shown that second picture of the 'toy' sailboat...i would have thought the first one was full size...and the 'old men were sailing their toy yachts', meaning they love their boats like toys! remote control sailboats!! cool! looks like a nice day in the park.
all the downed trees look like here...lots of rain!

    LOVE the pink blossoms...SPRING!!!
